I seriously can not believe how much we got done this past weekend! Lauren & Ben came up and were a HUGE help - they spent the entire day Friday while we were at work working like crazy people. Mom, Dad & Auntie Dee came up on Saturday and were a big help too, I don't know what we would do without you guys! We got a ridiculous amount of stuff done and are so happy with how everything turned out. We are still planning to try and move this coming Saturday, so this week we are just cleaning up and washing the floors again, and starting to move more small stuff every day.
Friday - during the day, all Lauren & Ben
- painted the ceilings in the family room, living room and upstairs hallway
- taped off every room so we would be ready to paint - Lauren went through 6 rolls of tape, this job sucks but she did amazing and it made painting so much faster
- spackled holes in every room - Ben is the spackle king
- picked up all of the paint
- also Friday morning the electrician came to install an outlet for our dryer, he was in and out in under an hour!
- painted our bedroom walls (review on working with Aura coming
soon!)
- painted the laundry and mudroom walls
- did a second coat on our bedroom walls
- did a second coat on the laundry / mudroom walls
- painted the walls in the living room and upstairs hallway - thank
goodness Ben is tall and not afraid of heights, we could not have done
the staircase painting without him
- decided on a color and painted the guest room walls
- decided on a color for the family room
- another Benjamin Moore trip (we are regulars there now, good things it's close!)
- painted the closet in our bedroom and the guest room
- painted the family room walls, also did a partial second coat
before running out of paint
- did a second coat in the living room and upstairs hallway
- did a second coat in the guest room
- cleaned up
